Whole Harvest All Natural, No Trans Fat Cooking Oils Ready To Meet The Needs Of NYC Restaurants
(Warsaw, NC) – Whole Harvest, the nation’s first naturally processed No Trans Fat commercial cooking oil line produced without the use of blends or chemicals is ready to meet the needs of New York City restaurants.
Using a patented expeller pressed process, the Whole Harvest line of culinary oils contains No Trans Fats, retains natural Omega-3’s and Vitamin E, is flavor neutral and has an extended fry life in comparison to traditional oils.
Whole Harvest’s extended fry life actually allows for a longer usage cycle, which ultimately saves users money, leading to healthier bottom lines.
In addition to being all-natural, the Whole Harvest line of commercial culinary oils is not hydrogenated, the process that actually creates harmful Trans Fatty Acids that have been shown to play a key role in the development of heart disease, diabetes and stroke.
At the same time, Whole Harvest is competitively priced and independent tests at Texas A&M University have shown that Whole Harvest is significantly less absorbent than the leading commercial frying oils, creating a better tasting food product.
“The Whole Harvest line of cooking oils offers a unique alternative to the standard cooking oils used throughout the restaurant and food preparation industries,” said Bob Dawson, Chief Operating Officer of Whole Harvest. “We’re very proud that the process is also environmentally safe.”
In response to recent FDA regulations that all food labels list Trans Fat contents by 2006, the restaurant and foodservice industries have begun to look for Low to No Trans Fat products which still hold up to traditional oils for flavor, feel and performance. New York City is a prime example, having recently called for its 20,000+ restaurants to voluntarily eliminate Trans Fats from their culinary offerings.
Many are turning to Whole Harvest for its all-natural, patented approach that does not involve hexane, a flammable solvent typically used in the production of most commercial cooking oils.
By not using harsh chemicals or hydrogenation, Whole Harvest oils have not been stripped of their natural Omega-3 fatty acids or Vitamin E and the process produces no harmful by-products.
The Whole Harvest line of culinary oils can now be found in numerous restaurants and institutions across the country and includes Whole Harvest Smart Fry (commercial cooking oil), Whole Harvest Culinary Oil (salads, sautéing and baking), Whole Harvest Pan Spray (non-stick pan spray), and Whole Harvest Mayonnaise.
With distributorships in 20 states across the country, and plans to expand the processing plant currently in operation in Warsaw, NC, Whole Harvest is ready and able to meet the growing No Trans Fat Trend.
